We are building a community at Spark that is authentic, positive and inclusive, and we are committed to working together with our community to maintain a welcoming environment for our users. Our Community Guidelines set out a code of conduct to guide our users in keeping the platform an authentic and safe space with friendly engagement. Please follow local laws and regulations and abide by our Community Guidelines when you use Spark.
We reserve the right to take action on content and accounts that violate our Community Guidelines, or which contravene any applicable law, regulatory requirements or our Terms of Service.
We also encourage our users to use our in-app tools to proactively report any content they believe might be in violation of our Community Guidelines.
• Only share original content that you have the right to share
Make sure that you have the right to share any content you post on Spark. As Spark is rooted in authentic sharing, please ensure the content you share is genuine and based on your real experiences. If you reprint any content, do secure permission and indicate the source. If your sharing involves other people, please make sure it is voluntary and that you respect their rights including privacy, image rights, and other copyrights.
• Disclose sponsorships and/or promoted content and declare conflicts of interest
Spark users may make consumption decisions based on content shared in the community, and transparency is crucial to this decision-making process. Please protect our users’ right to know and disclose sponsorships and/or promoted content.
• Nudity and sexually explicit content are not allowed
We want to foster a safe space for sharing and interacting. We do not allow nudity and any sexually explicit content on our platform. Do not post content that visibly reveals the breasts, genitals, anus, or buttocks, or content that imply or display sex acts. While artistic representations of nudity such as in paintings and sculptures may be allowed, we do not allow depictions of nudity or sexual activity (whether digital, artistic or otherwise) which are published in a manner that is calculated to titillate. We do not tolerate content promoting or depicting coerced, non-consensual or illegal sexual activity of any kind.
Spark is not a place to share content with graphic violence. We do not allow users to promote or glorify violence or cruelty, or to promote organizations or individuals associated with extremist violence. We also do not allow users to share content related to dangerous acts that may lead to serious injury or death.
• We do not condone bullying, harassment or hateful behaviour
We believe in nurturing a diverse and safe space for expression. We do not allow hate speech or other content that attacks or discriminates a particular group or person based on their race, religion, ethnicity or other factors. We do not tolerate content that glorifies, incites or endorses ethnic, racial or religious hatred, strife or intolerance. We also do not allow content containing threats or statements intended to insult, hurt or shame people. Any content involving unwelcome and inappropriate sexual attention constitutes sexual harassment and is also not condoned on our platform.
• Prevent Misinformation
False information which is contrary to the public interest or order and/or misleading content with harmful consequences are not allowed on Spark. For example, this could include medical information involving harmful treatments or investment-related advice with false claims.
• Minor safety
The protection of minors’ privacy and safety is particularly important to us (generally, all persons under the age of 18 unless otherwise specified under applicable laws). We absolutely do not tolerate sexually explicit content involving minors or any content with signs of sexual grooming advances. Content that involves harmful activities by minors, such as the possession and consumption of substances that are illegal for minors, or dangerous acts or stunts, will be removed from our platform. If your sharing involves minors, please give greater consideration to protecting their privacy and personal information; as parents, please do not share any content of your children that may violate these Community Guidelines (for example, nude images).
